Michael seeks movement in stillness and stillness in movement, simplifying life by slowing down conditioned responses. He started as an improviser, gathering deep access into the spirit of modern Japanese dance. He then began working with Antero Alli in Paratheatrical Laboratories, where he gained new insight into nature of spontaneous gesture, voice and movement as a task of sourcing energy. Michael is always inquiring and clarifying what the body is asking, needing and communicating. His current studies include Somatic Psychotherapy, Non-Dualism, and Hand-balancing Contortionism with Master Lu Yi.
Shannon spent her childhood and teenage years immersed in competitive athletics, resulting in an authentic love and passion for movement—dance, rock climbing, surfing and circus—while cultivating a deep relationship between the body, nature and music. She is intrigued by the connection between the physical and emotional selves, and is a strong believer in honest expression and connection. Shannon is dedicating her dance trapeze solo in First Breath, Last Breath to the life and energy of Caleb “Flip” Kors, a dear friend and child who recently passed away. Her intention is to explore what it means to take the last breath so close to the first…and how it feels to move as a child without the expectation of a final breath.VISIT HER SITE >
