Overview

“Chart your own evening of art adventure and discover experiences and performances situated inside and around the grounds of the de Young. To celebrate the closing of the Urbanauts fellowship and exhibit, we are mapping out and engaging some of our favorite and underutilized spaces at the deYoung. You’ll cross a threshold to embark on a roving sensory treasure hunt, set your own pace of discovery and regroup for a grand reunion.”

This event was part of Urbanauts, Sean Orlando and Rebar’s ongoing de Young Fellowship project, which maps, examines, and documents unseen urban infrastructure to inform a series of conceptualized and fabricated objects based on the aesthetics and function of hidden systems at the de Young Museum.

Bad Unkl Sista offered still point movement processions and performance installations throughout the evening.
