Michael Curran seeks movement in stillness and stillness in movement, simplifying life by slowing down conditioned responses. He started as an improviser, gathering deep access into the spirit of modern Japanese dance. He then began working with Antero Alli in Paratheatrical Laboratories, where he gained new insight into nature of spontaneous gesture, voice and movement as a task of sourcing energy. Michael is always inquiring and clarifying what the body is asking, needing and communicating. His current studies include Somatic Psychotherapy, Non-Dualism, and Hand-balancing Contortionism with Leslie Tipton.
